Allow me to introduce a topic of prime importance: Positive Energy Practices or PEP for short. I call it PEP for short because these practices will put a pep in your step, give your energy level that added zing, and kick your happiness up a notch. This particular post is an introduction to Positive Energy Practices in general, with an exploration of individual PEPs to follow in later posts.
Let’s start with a definition: Positive Energy Practices are any practices that give you a boost of positive energy, and increase your positive vibe. Now this can be physical energy (vibrancy), emotional energy (happiness), or spiritual energy (bliss-states), and flow states. Any practice that will improve your overall feeling of well-being is a PEP.
There are many of these types of practices and we’ll explore them all. Some you will gravitate toward more than others, and these are the ones that you should try first, but eventually you should try them all because you can never be sure if a practice may grow on you. Each practice has its particular focus on one or more aspects of what I believe to be our triune nature: physical, mental/emotional, spiritual.
These three categories are not necessarily mutually exclusive and an improvement in one will often, perhaps I would dare to say ‘always’, benefits the other two.
So put on your explorer’s hat and bring along your “I-know-I-can” attitude as we embark on this journey together.
